Destination Space has been funded by:
- The UK Space Agency (during all phases)
- Launch UK (during phase 2)
Each phase of Destination Space has been funded by the UK Space Agency with the support of its Education and Skills team. The idea for the project was originally developed in partnership between the UK Association for Science and Discovery Centres (ASDC) and the UK Space Agency.
UK Space Agency
The UK Space Agency is an executive agency of government that sits within the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Discover more on the UK Space Agency website.
Launch UK
During Phase 2 of Destination Space additional funding was provided by Launch UK in support of developing links with communities around UK Spaceport sites.
Launch UK is the UK’s commercial spaceflight programme, bringing together various different government organisations.
